“This is a delightful introduction to the art of boro and sashiko. It has a pleasing balance of straightforward text and photographs and plenty of white space. The author writes in a way that enables you to meet her and learn how she came to practise this tradition. This is not an introductory book to stitching sashiko and for that I'd recommend other books with some projects to try. But this gives great ideas to those already used to sewing and mending and would make a great gift to a sewing friend.”
