“I received the jacket very quickly, nicely packaged. I haven't made it yet, but it looks very similar to the 3 kits I made for my daughters over 30 years ago - I'm looking forward to sewing this one for my 4 month old granddaughter (who will obviously have to grow a bit to wear it!)”
“This BEAUTIFUL kit arrived BEAUTIFULLY packaged, the very next day. Unbelievably good quality presentation and service.
Just one sadness: I want an adult-size jacket like this!!!! Not necessarily with farm animals and tractors on it, but a Clothkits kit of this quality would be SO welcome. PLEASE put it on your to-do list!!!!
Can't wait to make up the child's version for our grandson in Germany. Super clear instructions.”
“Lovely coat for my son - my daughter has my original one from the 80's! So really pleased these are being made! Didn't find the instructions the most straightforward - lacked clarity in places and not the most logical order for things like cutting pieces out. Some of the pockets didn't line up with the background so had to make a judgment call on what looked best.
Staff helpful about arranging an alternative courier to Royal Mail (as they were on strike) and I needed the item quickly for my son's birthday.”
“I made this jacket for my daughter 33 years ago and she adored it and had so much fun with the animals in the pockets.
I have now made the jacket for my granddaughter aged 2 and she is mesmerised with the secret animals in pockets and it’s such a cosy jacket to wear.
Excellent instructions with kit and generous fabric allowance to complete.
Well done Team Clothkits, standards have remained high”
“I love this jacket and am planning to make it for my Granddaughter this Autumn. I made one for my daughter 37 years ago! I wish clothkits still did the range of lovely cotton printed dresses, I made so many for my daughter and now wish I’d kept every one of them as they’re timeless.”
“This is the second jacket I have bought lately. I wanted one for a grandson having just made one for his sister. I loved the finished jacket but I have a couple of criticisms. Firstly, the jacket design doesn’t appear to be true to the grain so I had to fiddle it a bit. I washed the fabric first and tried to pull it straight but it didn’t entirely work. Also, I didn’t find the instructions were very clear. Especially tricky was trying to fit the binding around the collar angle. I also found the animals difficult to sew around as the seam was very narrow and they were tricky to turn inside out. Any tips would have been good.”
