“A great looking pattern with an easy to follow instruction booklet with no complicated language. I'm an experienced sewer but I've never made clothes before (except for the ubiquitous pyjama bottoms ;-) so this looks the perfect pattern to start with. “I haven’t used the pattern yet but the paper seems sturdy so easy to use lots of times. I was a little disappointed with the triple packaging and the plastic used. The pattern packet was creased as it was folded back as it was placed in the envelope. I’d like to review the actual pattern when I’ve used it but that will be a little while as I need to make up the yardage of patchwork as per the Great British Sewing Bee boxy jacket.”

Thanks so for the review, much appreciated, and I hope that you love the pattern once you have stitched it up. So sorry if there was a crease on the corner of your pattern, we try very hard to make sure everything is pristine and use layers of paper to try and ensure this does not happen. When you say triple packaging, are you referring to the three paper elements, pattern enevlope, paper bag to pop your order in, and then the sturdy kraft mailer? We have eliminated as much plastic as possible from all of our activities, and the only element we currently might have used on your order is an adhesive window for the packing slip - as we have not found a solution that stops orders from getting muddled yet. But we are working on it!

I have been buying Clothkits for last 40 years both for myself and my son when he was a baby.
You used to do a pre cut Elephant padded jacket in various colours.I remember wearing a white cotton lawn blouse I made from Clothkits and a black needle cord shirt in 1984 for his Christening.”
