“I'm a beginner to making clothes, though I've made curtains and bags before. I'm so glad this was the first pattern I chose to make! The booklet explains everything really well, from the different sorts of stitching needed to how to set out your pieces to cut them out. The step-by-step instructions are really clear and the illustrations make it even clearer! This is definitely suitable for beginners, with the only tricky but being the sewing of the elasticated sleeves, but the booklet explained what to do and I managed it! It really looks lovely finished, and the wide neck is very flattering. I made it first in patterned cotton lawn, then in white dotted Swiss lawn and I'm going to make it again in sage-coloured plain cotton. I'm a 14 and the M size fitted me fine. I kept it as the pattern first time, but made it a bit longer the second time (it explains how to do this in the booklet). Though it's a pricey pattern, it's very versatile and I'm sure, like me, people would make it in many different fabrics.”
