“Review: John Merry - PGA Golf Professional Pros: Golf tuition for all ages and abilities Cons: So busy with clients, booking a training session needs to be made well in advance. John is a PGA Professional with more than twenty years’ experience in the UK and across Europe. He is an exceptionally confident tutor for people with ranging abilities, from beginner to experienced, and working with age differences from junior to senior. John is particularly skilled in the short game and readily conveys his extensive knowledge in a constructive, informative and pleasant manner. His skills extend well beyond the short game and is able to inform and demonstrate the skills needed to competently use the wide assortment of golf clubs. John has an easy relaxed manner. He instinctively knows through ‘covert’ observation and audible skills whether an action has been understood. There is no projected sense of intense scrutiny, but he misses nothing, putting students in a fun, relaxed and receptive frame of mind. Booking a session with John can be difficult, as he very often has bookings approximately three or more weeks in advance. Occasionally a pre booked session may be cancelled by the learner and John is very obliging by informing of such a vacancy as they occur.”
