“I was a bit nervous buying Farley since he didn't have any reviews and I hadn't really heard about the company before, but I was happy with my order, he shipped and arrived fast, and was really soft. If I had to compare his fur texture to anything I'd compare it to some modern build a bears.
I did have some negatives with Farley, mainly that the heat is really hard to feel through him. I tend to like intense heat and use heatpads for aches. You could maybe get him a bit warmer by putting the pouch in longer, but that isn't what the guidelines say so do at your own risk. You could always try different inserts if you have them. I have some non-silica based ones that I might try with him. My other gripe was that he is a bit bottomheavy because of his insert, his body without it is incredibly light, his front half feels very light and it can feel a bit weird when cuddling him.
I should mention I'm reviewing this in summer, I can imagine in the winter when it's a lot colder the gentle heat would be more effective. But again, these are nitpicks and overall I wanted him because... Well, he just looks cute! So I don't mind that his heat is gentle or that he's bottomheavy. He's cute and cuddly and a great first purchase from Hot Water Bottle shop.”
