“There are only 2 semi-syntheticoils compatible with my 944 engine, originally designed for mineral oil. In the eraly days during the phasing out of lead in petrol, mineral oils contained higher levels of additives such as Zinc but the modern mineral oils do not contain similar levels of additives. Therefore, the mineral oils currently available are as good.
This leaves Mobil 1 10w 40 semi synthetic and the Leichlauf which is virtually identical except for the Molybdenum.
I have experienced better fuel consumption, better starting and less oil consu,ption in engines that use typically 50-100 ml per 1000 miles. This figure varies depending on condition of the engne. I have noticed no slludge during oil changes and I find that the cooling tempertarues are nore stablle.
I can really recommend this oil and whoever purists can stop yapping because I will not go back to a mineral oil or the more expensive Mobil 1 which does not contain Molybdenum.”
