“I have been using this oil for the past 3 years since I commenced self servicing on a vehicle which was then 14 years old. Since that time it has travelled only about 6,000 miles. However, the vehicle at 17 years old has 117,000 miles on the clock and is still using no oil at all between services. In fact it has never used any oil between services from when I first purchased it new. So as far as I can see Castrol GTX is doing its job well. The vehicle, a Subaru, is driven quite hard at times. GTX was a favourite of mine 50 years ago and served me well throughout the following years. Of course it was then not synthetic. I have no doubt that the same high standards appertain at Castrol as they always have done.”
