(It neither looks or feels like the suede of the rest, and at the join with the tongue it looks distinctly manmade!) Many thanks for your comments Helen. We were sorry to hear that our Taunus trainers did not live up to your expectations. To reassure you, they do feature a suede upper, with some panels being a carefully crafted suede, embossed to emulate cord, giving the distinctive effect you describe. At the join with the tongue, the raw edge of the cotton lining may show, which I imagine is what you are seeing here. Please rest assured that here at Moshulu all our products are made with comfort and quality in mind, and in no way would be looking to cut any corners on any of our products.
