“These boots are so comfortable and lightweight. I bought a pair 5 years ago and they look and feel just as good as when I first bought them. I’ve just purchased my second pair in green and am wearing them everyday.... just like slippers! They are so light, I can hardly tell I have shoes on! Would highly recommend!!”
“I bought a red pair and found them very comfortable. I liked them so much I bought a dark navy pair but these aren't as comfortable as the bottom of the gusset covering the zip on the right boot rubs.”
“Really pleased with these boots purchased in the Tenby store the staff were really helpful she suggested these boots as the insole can be removed allowing me to use my own insole for plantar fasciitis...they are so comfortable and the colour choice is great I will be requesting another pair for Christmas it would be fantastic if more boots could be made that could have the removable insole”
“I fell in love with these boots as soon as I saw them. The Fern colour is beautiful and the burnished (old boot) look is, to my mind, very attractive. The fit - I take a 6/39 and have a slightly wide foot - couldn't be better. But... the actual sole, the bit that touches the ground, is less than a millimetre thick. I just can't see how that's going to last and I suspect that, before long, they'll have a real worn-down old boot look, no matter how 'bouncy' they are. Further, to be told after they've arrived that they 'may be liable to some water penetration' is a bit much. Why not be up-front? A pre-sale treatment with Universal Protector and a suggestion to buy a can would have been preferable. So, while my heart says Buy more! I'm going to wait to see how these ones go. I'll re-review.”
Thanks for your review Kit. Our popular Bourbon boots are made with a hard wearing TR sole (with an minimum 4mm sole underfoot) making them extra light and flexible for comfort. In construction the sole is stitched to the upper and lining to secure these together, which adds to the lightweight flexible character of the boot, but can mean they are a little more susceptible to water penetration than other more structured leather styles.
Being a natural, breathable product, we'd always recommend treating your leather boots regularly with a protector spray to protect against the elements and any accidental splashes or spills. If you have any concern over your purchase, please do get in touch with us here in Customer Care, where we'd be happy to help.

“Have just bought the Bourbon 2 in fern. The colour is great and goes with most things. I don't think I have worn a more comfortable boot which I will wear with both trousers and skirts. Well done again Moshulu.”
