“The boots are light, comfortable and grippy, I have completed a 30 mile hike in dry weather without any problems, but in wet weather they are shocking. I have cleaned and maintained them with the genuine Lowa care products but in wet conditions they are the worst boots I've owned. In rainy weather they soak up the moisture to the point where between 35 - 45 minuites you have damp feet, then after an hour your feet are wet, after 2 hours my feet were squelching ard dispersing water from the fabric around the tongue. After a good soaking it then takes a good 7 days to fully dry out. In recent years legislation has banned the use of PFAS in Gore-Tex products which is now proving that all new Gore-Tex is a waste of time.”
