If your not sure what boots you need , don’t look any further ! , I have a ankle injury, of which I had for many years, I now have had 5 pairs of lowa boots and all have been outstanding for fit and reliability, from the dessert boot and now to my new rangers and the one I feel are the very best the “Renegade” are the most ! Most! comfortable, we have just completed the alzheimer’s trek26 in Norfolk, no blisters, ankle well supported, hope this helps and well done lowa

The boot is relatively comfortable, but after three outings, the rubber is starting to separate from the leather along one side. Worse than that, it is impossible to waterproof theboots effectively, despite repeated waxing. On a recent rainy hike the leather absorbed so much water that my feet ended up sodden. I would have expected better for the price.

I received these boots the day after placing my order, and having already owned a pair of Renegade GTX Wide, I can say with confidence these Renegade Evo GTX are just as good. The moment you slip your foot into them they offer total comfort. Compared to my previous pair these feel a little more supportive, though I wouldn't like them to be any narrower. Personally nothing else matches these boots. Just a side note to take my advice and avoid ordering a spare insole in size 3 if you’re actually a size 9.5. Opps!

These wide fit EVOs took a while to wear in. I wore them in the house and gradually increased their usage. I had to go up a whole size from my normal footwear size and get the wide fit. I wasn’t sure if there was enough room in the toe box initially but now they have worn in, there is indeed enough space. They have been better on wet mud than my (wide) Rangers, and they have been equally waterproof over the winter with all the rain and flooding we have had. They are so much lighter than the Rangers of course and are now my go-to boot.

I purchased my first pair 20 years ago found them very comfortable also stayed waterproof for 7 years however I purchased my third pair just over a year ago (but have started leaking already) so needless to say very disappointed!

Dislike doing reviews as virtually everything bought nowadays requires a follow up review. These boots however warrant a review. Boots arrived promptly this morning - some concerns given width fitting and waterproofing - however just back in from a wet drizzly hike on the Scottish hills - extremely comfortable and feet stayed dried - what more can you ask for !!
