“I have had these books for 9 months and regularly worn them through the changing seasons. I feel they perform well in both the extremes of summer and winter. I mainly walk light/moderate trail walks and have found them to work very well in this terrain, they can however be slippy on wet rock so maybe not the best for hill/mountain climbing. Breathability can be a slight issue but I found these boots to be much better than other gore-tex boots i've tried.
Quality of build - Excellent, apart from the dirt now sealed into the boot (with 0 washing or maintenance) the boot still looks barely worn, grip looks nearly new.
Comfort - My feet feel protected and what I love most about them is that I can still feel the subtle textures of the ground beneath providing a nice grounded feel. They are ridiculously light comparible to running trainers and offer enough ankle protection to feel secure.
As a vegan (yes we need to tell everyone) I found searching for decent hiking boots difficult, at least ones assured to be of quality build. These boots have ticked everything I would want from a hiking boot and feel they are going to last.
I am a size 12 UK and bought a size 13. This gives my feet plenty of room to splay out and wear thicker socks in the winter seasons.
I am very happy with my purchase.”
“I bought a pair of these about a year and a half ago. Since then they’ve been put to the test in various situations and I’ve been very impressed with them. Very comfy to wear and I can confirm they are waterproof. Actually, they’re probably the most comfy walking boots I’ve ever owned. I did replace the laces with stretchy laces as I got fed up with tying then too often when out walking.”
