“I brought these boots just under two years ago. I walk in them everyday between 3-6miles. I have cleaned them waterproofed and waxed them regularly. Unfortunately the stitching at the side of my big toe is failing now where my foot bends. I am a a bit disappointed as I really took care not to leave them muddy or dry them near the radiator.
They were stiff to start with and do rub my little toes so I used toe silicone protectors. I have to be careful how I lace them to make sure my feet are secure and not slipping forwards and rubbing. I’m not sure how people get there boots to last beyond two years!
I have previously had two other pairs of gore-tex lowa walking boots which have also had failed stitching but on the outside edge near my little toes after 18 months. I was also careful to make sure they were cleaned and dried correctly.
I am disappointed that my boot will need to be replaced after spending over £200 on what I thought would be of high quality materials.”
“Delivery was fast and the boots looked amazing! However, not quite as expected. When walking on mud, wet tarmac/tracks, or wet grass they are very slippery- I trust my wellies more for me not to end up on my behind! They only took a couple of days to wear in, and now they are a dream to wear and comfortable to wear all day long. Just a shame about the lack of grip on wet ground, which living in Exmoor, is pretty permanently!
I would probably purchase again, just due to how comfortable they are now to wear all day long.”
