“I have owned these boots for 18 months and walked 800km in them. They are very comfortable and the goretex lining was very effective. After about 600km it started to fail and I can no longer consider them reliable.
My biggest disappointment with these boots is the grip. The sole is dangerous and I have had numerous slips and falls which I would not expect at this level. They are poor at clearing mud and I have have found they fail to grip the ground even through thin mud, I have even found myself slipping on wet tarmac, and rocky surfaces. I wrote to lowa about this, and to the supplier, but have not had helpful responses, which is a shame as I have been using lowa for 15 years and have had 4 pairs of their boots.”
