While Ectoin BarrierBuild Milk is formulated to strengthen the skin barrier, soothe reactivity, and is generally suitable for all skin types—including sensitive and reactive skin—individual responses can vary. Breakouts can sometimes occur if your skin is sensitive to a specific ingredient or if your barrier is adjusting to a new product. The formula includes hydrating and barrier-supportive ingredients such as ectoin, lactobacillus ferment, oat milk, and tremella mushroom. However, as with any skincare product, not every individual will find a perfect match. We always recommend patch testing before introducing a new product into your routine and discontinuing use if irritation or breakouts occur, as you did. “Wonderful milky texture that sinks into skin beautifully. I find this calms and soothes my skin really effectively. I suffer with a little rosacea on my cheeks, but this helps enormously.”

“I have very sensitive skin and got really curious when I saw the advertisement of this product on Instagram. I’ve been using Facetheory for a several years now and of course I trust the brand, so I decided to give it a shot. My skin was a bit dry, with some extra dryness close the nose / mouth and my regular product for sensitive skin (from a famous french brand) was not working. I swear, I applied the barrier build milk before going to sleep and the next morning ALL the dryness was gone! My skin was really soft and glowy after a few days and people around me started complementing my skin. This product was a game changer for me, go for it if you have sensitive skin, rosacea, dryness, etc.”

“This is AMAZING stuff!!! I had a reaction to a product (not FT) about 18 months ago and ever since have had rough skin, redness and tiny little whiteheads. Nothing I’ve tried has managed to calm it (and I’ve tried all the ‘usual’ products). Until this!!!!! Within a couple of days the roughness started to settle, and two weeks in I’m starting to see really brilliant results. I’d almost given up hope of getting back to my pre-reaction skin, but finally I’m getting there!!! I’m also using it on a 6 month old surgical scar, and it’s already improving its appearance. I can’t recommend this product enough. My favourite skincare product that I’ve ever tried! I use it beneath the daily oat moisturiser and nightly melatonin moisturiser, adding a few drops of the rosehip oil at night. Great combo for super reactive, sensitive, angry skin.”
