No reaction if I use it on and off but when I started using it consistently after a week my skin started burning, got red patches, itchy so I had to stop. I tried to start again after it calmed down but the same thing happened. First time I’ve experienced this. Not even retinol does this to my skin. It’s such a pity as once off it really does give a glow.

Hi Yvette, We’re really sorry to hear about the burning, redness, and itching you experienced after using Glow-C Vitamin C 20% Serum consistently. That’s not the reaction we’d want for you, and we understand how disappointing this is since it can give that glow when it works for others. Please discontinue use and, if you can, patch test a small area before trying any new product. If you’d like, we can review alternative vitamin C formulations with a lower concentration or different texture that might be gentler on your skin. If the irritation persists or you’d like personalized guidance, please reach out to our support team with (an approximate date of use and any other products used that day) so we can assist promptly. Thank you for sharing your experience—your feedback helps us improve. Thanks, Facetheory Team

Hi there, Thank you for the review! We’re glad you like the Glow-C Vitamin C 20% Serum. If you find it a little sticky, try using a thinner layer and allowing it to fully absorb before applying other products. Thanks Team Facetheory

Love this serum. Have tried many others and this is the best for evening out skin tone and I love that it’s slightly oily as I have dry skin.

Dear Babette, Thank you for sharing your experience with the Glow-C Vitamin C 20% Serum. We’re thrilled to hear it’s delivering great results. For best results, apply a small pea sized amount to clean skin in the morning, follow with moisturizer and SPF, and avoid using with other strong actives at the same time. If you have questions or want routine tweaks, we’re here to help. Thanks Facetheory Team

I love face theory products but this is ot one of them. It's oily and yet at the same times burn. I havr used other Vit C products before and it isn't uncommon to have a tingling sensation but this isn't pleasant and and my skin feels inflamed for over an hour

Hi Catherine Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Glow-C Vitamin C 20% Serum. We’re really sorry to hear that it didn’t work well for your skin and that you experienced discomfort after applying it. While a mild tingling sensation can sometimes occur with potent Vitamin C formulas, it shouldn’t cause burning or prolonged irritation. We’d recommend discontinuing use for now and performing a patch test before trying again or with any new product in future. Our customer care team would be happy to help find an alternative Vitamin C or brightening serum that’s better suited to your skin type. Please reach out to us at help@facetheory.com. We truly value your support and feedback, it helps us continue improving our formulations and ensure every experience with Facetheory is a positive one. Thanks Facetheory Team

Hi Juliana, Sorry to hear the Glow-C Vitamin C 20% Serum left your skin oily and sticky. Finishes can vary with skin type and layering. A few quick tips you could try: - Apply to slightly damp skin in a thinner layer. - Allow each step (toner, serum) to fully absorb before applying more product. - If you’re seeking a lighter finish, we can suggest alternatives better suited to oilier skin. If you’d like, please reach out to help@facetheory.com with your skin type and current routine so we can tailor a recommendation. Thank you for sharing your experience, it helps us improve.
