I have been using the retinal supreme multi cream for over a 6 weeks now and found that it is really drying on my skin.I built up using it,maybe it is to do with dosage. I had high expectations for this product, because all the facetheory products are usually excellent. I gave it a chance as it is expensive but I am afraid it has a disappointing result.

I was a bit dubious about the product but after using it I changed my mind. I have sensitive 'mature' skin so I wasn't expecting much in the way of visible results. In fact, my skin tone appears more even and fresher. I am impressed.

This has really really dried out my skin. I have peeling skin. I was using it twice a week but cut down to once and am still experiencing the same issue. I have quite good skin but wanted to start dealing with the signs of aging im starting to see. I am not sure if these side effects are normal but I imagine it’s something my skin will get more used to? Im prepared to keep trying but not sure if I would recommend yet.

Hi Deborah, Thank you very much for your product review. The side effects you're experiencing with Retinal Supreme MultiCream 0.05% are common when starting retinoid products. Dryness and peeling are normal reactions as your skin adjusts to increased cell turnover. However, these effects should gradually improve over time. To manage the dryness and peeling: Reduce frequency: Consider using the product once every 3-4 days initially, then slowly increase as your skin tolerates it. Apply moisturiser: Use a rich, hydrating moisturizer before and after applying the retinal cream. Buffer: Mix the retinal cream with your moisturizer to dilute it slightly. Hydrate: Ensure you're drinking enough water and consider using a humidifier. Remember, everyone's skin reacts differently, and it may take several weeks for your skin to acclimate. Be patient and gentle with your skin during this adjustment period. Thanks Facetheory Team
