This product is actually a moisturiser rather than a serum — it’s designed to hydrate while delivering a gentle dose of retinol to help smooth and firm the skin over time. With retinol products, results can take several weeks to become noticeable as the skin gradually adapts and cell renewal increases. We recommend starting with a few applications per week and building up slowly as your skin becomes accustomed to it. “I haven't used this long enough to tell how well it works. The smell is quite pungent and offputting, but hopefully I'll get used to it. I understand this is just how the retinol smells, but I have used a retinol product from another brand without the strong smell. Maybe I should have bought the scented version, but I am quite scent sensitive so didn't want to run the risk.”

Hi Sarah, Thank you for sharing your experience. The natural scent you’ve noticed comes from the retinol itself, as our unscented version doesn’t include added fragrance to mask it. The smell can often fade after application and tends to become less noticeable as you get used to it. Retinol works gradually, and visible improvements in skin texture and tone usually appear after about 4 to 6 weeks of consistent nightly use, with firmer and smoother results often developing over 8 to 12 weeks. We recommend applying a small amount in the evening and following with SPF the next morning to protect your skin as cell renewal increases. “Even after a week of use. My skin is smoother, brighter and feels nicer. It spreads well, so you don't have to use a lot. I use it every night before bed, and use a lighter non retinol during the day with a layer of SPF over the top. I'll 0”
