“While this is quite a strong exfoliator for my slightly sensitive skin, it has genuinely worked so well with tackling my pretty severe acne on my cheeks. Before my cheeks felt rough, almost like sandpaper, but after only a few uses they now feel almost totally smooth! Do look out for your skin breaking out after using it a few times (purging) - it’s like your skin gets worse before it gets better. I still have quite prominent acne scars, so I use this serum in conjunction with niacinamide and also a super hydrating moisturiser and my skin seems to really like it. I have found that a little goes a long way with this serum too. Overall though, I’d say that if you have sensitive skin/never used salicylic acid before, I would maybe use a cleanser containing it to ease your skin in gently as this serum is quite strong - there are plenty of cheaper options available ie. the one from Inkey List which has really good reviews. Another note would be that FaceTheory also sell a serum called “N10 Porebright” which I found more suitable for my skin as it seems more gentle, which also contains salicylic but has the addition of other useful ingredients ie. niacinamide and hyaluronic acid to help with skin.”

“I love this serum: it has a nice milky consistency and I find it extremely gentle on the skin although it is a strong acid. I also love the fact that with Facetheory's products you only need a few drops to cover all the face. I definitely would recommend to anyone with oily and acne-prone skin.”
