“To the head office: I loved the previous formula. Please bring it back..I never write reviews but THAT OIL was amazing. Squalane doesn’t work for everyone unfortunately - I can vouch for that!. I loved the thick texture of the previous formula. This feels very watered down, doesn’t absorb as nicely and doesn’t heal my acne scars as effectively. The other one made noticeable difference overnight and my skin would still feel hydrated the next day. This new oil is more like the ordinary squalane oil/ bio oil. It may work for some but it would’ve been nice to keep the other formula available as this is COMPLETELY different to the last scar oil. This new one feels more for the body not face as it’s thinner so easy to apply to large areas. It just doesn’t do it’s job like the last bottle did. I REALLY HOPE you release the old formula again as a face oil.”

Hi Sarah Sorry to hear this - the active content is the same however the old formula required a lot of emulsifier which gave it a thick/slightly sticky quality and we found that people preferred this version in panel testing. “I had folliculitis on my bum and the scars used to get me down so much. For a year I have exfoliated, used scrubs. Medical creams and it hasn’t worked. I have been using this oil for 2 weeks and my gosh it has cleared my scars massively!! They haven’t fully gone but I believe if I use a couple more weeks they will vanish! Incredible!!! Amazing product”

“I'm not a fan of this one. Definitely doesn't help with my scars, plus it's really heavy product. I bought full set of Facetheory cosmetics and I've got mixed feelings - they're great and hydrate a lot, my face is so shiny and moisturized. Unluckily, they don't help with acne or scars.”

“Reacted with my son's face. I was informed by the company that retinol is not advised for people with eczema but this is not stated on the website which actually states all skin types. I wrote this review as a warning to others although a full refund was given.”

“I never leave reviews, but I cannot sing the praises of this product enough. I have very bad stretch marks from puberty and I have been using this oil on theme everyday after the shower. After spending years hating my body and researching every solution viable to help reduce the appearance of my stretch marks, I have finally found a product that works - and it's only been 2 weeks of using it! After years of hating my body I've just ordered my first short dress in years and I hope I soon have the confidence I am gradually getting because of this oil to wear it. Thank you facetheory!”
