“I’m happy to say that this oil is extremely good for scar tissue. It’s also very good value and it absorbs into the skin very well. Although I’ve only been using it for 3 weeks I’ve noticed a difference already. Very pleased and would recommend this oil.”

“I’ve been using this oil for a week and it’s caused me to breakout all over my cheeks. I am hoping it is my skin purging but at the moment it has made my skin worse rather than better. The reviews have been so good so here’s hoping the breakouts will ease. Any tips to help prevent purging or other products I should use along side to help?”

Hi Emma You are probably having a "retinol purge" - applying a new strong product to your skin can increase the cell turnover and occasionally cause breakouts. Please contact us at help@facetheory.com for either a replacement, refund, or further advice. Jamie

“This was my first shopping experience with Face Theory, where I purchased a small bottle of Retin-A serum. The experience was very smooth and trouble-free. The serum was delivered promptly and was well packaged. As for the serum itself, I am quite pleased with the results. Having tried a number of different products previously I really wasn't expecting much, I was quite surprised to see that some of my acne scars (most hypertrophic) have at the very least lost a bit of their redness. At best, other scars have become more pink, or even lost their pinkness all together and are gradually blending into the rest of the surrounding skin. The results, I believe, have been largely been dependant on the thickness the scar. The thinner (less hypertrophic) scars have faded rapidly and evenly, whereas the thicker ones are taking a lot longer to show signs of improvement. I will purchase another bottle and see how I get on with the more stubborn ones, though I fear it may take a long time. Thanks, Face Theory!”

“Very thick oil, I mix it in with my moisturiser during the day (need to dab the face with a tissue occasionally) as it's very rich. But my scarring has definitely reduced and my skin looks plumper so I'll certainly continue. My only complaint is that the bottle I have has a pipette that doesn't retain the oil so I have to be fast getting some in my hands else it goes everywhere.”
