“The actual grounds and inside of the old part of the hotel are lovely. The garden room we were allocated was in a separate building from the 70s. It's highly unattractive and totally not in keeping with the rest of the main property. The room was adequate.although no air con (it was the heatwave) but the fan provided was OK. Ask for a room with even number if you want a garden view Breakfast was nice but our dinner was really poor. Whatever you do, don't order the fish and chips - totally inedible. The steak pie was also really over done and not pleasant. Would stay again but mit use restaurant. Lovely part of the country”

“Really lovely stay...the hotel staff are really lovely, so helpful and welcoming. The food was really nice. The room we had was really lovely, it had everything you needed for a short break. The only negative point was the cleanliness of our room. The bathroom floor had not been swept when we arrived. There was hair and dirt on the floor. We did ask for the floor to be cleaned which they did come to do, but not very well. We didn't use the leisure facilities, the pool looked OK.”
