“Lovely experience, friendly staff and clean facilities. Cream tea was delicious, warm scones and plenty of jam and cream accompanied with coffee and prosecco. Spa was good, although very small facilties. Unfortunately the steam room was not in working order, this limited us to the gym, sauna and pool. We were the only ones there which made for a calm and relaxing day, however if there were more people, I would expect that it would feel very crowded quickly. Would recommend, but definitely need to go on a quiet day to ensure a calm environment. To improve, I would say a jacuzzi would add an extra touch and to expand the spa facilities.”

“The staff are fine. But seem to be fighting a loosing battle ,i have been to the Durley dean hotel many times and the hotel gets worse everytime , it looks old and tired and run down , with worn thread bare carpet and tiles dislodging from the swimming pool , we were supposed to enjoy a spa day with cream tea , but the only thing working in the spa were the lights , we had no steam room no working sauna and the water in the pool was very cloudy and just felt wrong , we were in the pool for five minutes, and were joined by a couple with two young children , that promptly jumped into the pool , I think that the DD needs to decide whether it wants to be a spa or a play area for the hotel guests we certainly arn’t interested in going back”
