“We had a pleasant stay for husband birthday treat, staff were all lovely and very friendly. A beautiful historic building with grounds to match. We stayed in the Manor House as we upgraded to deluxe, room was clean albeit needing a little TLC would have expected a fridge and a coffee machine as part of deluxe facilities. Cream tea hit the spot and evening meal was lovely as was breakfast. We didn’t get chance to use the leisure access as had visited family in Oxford so would recommend a two night stay to get the full experience. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“Very nice hotel & grounds. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast generous & well cooked. Only downside is that the twin bedded room I requested was not available despite phoning hotel to check. The manager tried to resolve this but because the hotel was full nothing could be done on the first night. We were moved to a twin the second night. Thank you.”

“Welcomed on arrival by lovely staff. Afternoon tea & breakfast was lovely as was the swimming pool & a very hot, hot tub. Rooms were very dated with plaster on show with lots of peeling paint. Dinner wasn't great, my husband had steak pie which you would expect to be homemade not bought in the same with the puddings bought in pastry cases. So overall we had a lovely stay but evening meal great.”

“This hotel is superb. Rooms allocated exactly as I had requested. All staff were helpful & cheerful. The location idyllic. Decor very tasteful - just loved the winding staircase & gallery & comfortable sofas. Wide range of Breakfast choices. Bar meals & Dinner menu excellent.”

“A lovely location, and the main House is outstanding… on arrival, reception very welcoming, we went straight to our designated room, we knew we were not in the main building, but when we drove round to the block, my face dropped, ugly 70’s build, bland block!! , totally not in keeping with Main building. However, once I got over my shock, I was very pleased with the accommodation, very clean, and everything we needed, for our stay. We then headed to restaurant for our cream tea, Sat by the window, reading Sunday papers, looking at the views… stunning… Evening meal was Excellent!! Restaurant staff, so friendly, cannot fault value for money. We were so full, and lazy didn’t use the pool, or gym, but it was a Sunday, day of rest!… Would definitely return.”

“It was my boyfriends birthday, when booked i phoned and asked if they did anything for birthdays or put something in the room and they said yes they would , when we arrived there was nothing done so disappointed, also the room we had was not good see photos. The food was good and staff were friendly, overall was good but just shame about the room.”

“Arrived at the hotel where they were refurbish being done,didn't cause any problems though and the parts that they had finished were very nice,we dined the first night because of the discount which was so nice we ate there the second night although no discount oh well we still enjoyed it,would stop again.”

“Room was not good and hot tub was cold also no beds to lay down at spa. Food was ok, but a bit undercooked.”
