“We have stayed in the hotel previously and commend the food for great quality, fast friendly service. Bedrooms are large and clean. My only criticism of the hotel is lack of space for hotel guests. On the 2 occasions we have stayed as 2 couples, the Gallery Bar....which you would presume would be for guests to sit in, relax and watch sport on the Saturday, was reserved by the hotel for their Bottomless Brunch event. There were no seats available for residents. There were no other TVs in the hotel to watch Cheltenham or more importantly, the final day of the 6 nations Rugby championship! We had to drive into Portadown to find a pub that showed the match! No alcohol as I had to drive back to the hotel. Very very disappointed at the attitude of the hotel to paying guests. A bit of advice to hotel......why not keep a few tables free during the Brunch event for your guests? Or is optimising space for brunch your main priority and not residents......or.....perhaps.....have the foresight to have a television in some other part of the hotel for sports enthusiasts and people who come in to watch sport whilst having a pint or glass? I will definitely not be booking the Seagoe Hotel again on a weekend or specifically a Saturday....ever....again...”
