“Whilst the staff in the restaurant were very friendly and solicitous, the actual afternoon tea itself was definitely somewhat reduced in size and really did not reflect the picture shown on the website. Unfortunately, we did not take any photos but will do so in the future since we both enjoy our afternoon teas.”

“A favourite place of ours for afternoon tea! Gorgeous sandwiches, cakes and stones, unlimited tea fabulous staff and the view is lovely. The hotel itself is beautifully clean. Didn't take photos but will next time x”

“So disappointed with this birthday present. We originally booked for 4 people and asked the night before for an additional person to be added to be told no they needed 24 hours notice. We asked for the additional person to join us and just to choose from their normal lunch menu. We were told they could not sit with us but would have to sit in a different part of the restaurant at the bar. After a few calls they finally agreed to add them to our table. When we arrived we expected the restaurant to be full as the staff had made such a big deal about our extra guest. But it was empty. After at least an hour with no drinks or food we asked staff and eventually they brought it to the table they didn’t bring the tea. We kept asking different members of staff and eventually after half hour/ 40 minutes they brought the tea by which point our sandwiches and cakes were finished. We also had to go to the bar ourselves to order drinks. There was no atmosphere, no music, the staff were awkward and the whole experience embarrassing. Never again. Worst afternoon tea we’ve had and we go to quite a lot.”
