Lodge was clean comfy and warm. Hot tub was really good, need some mirrors in the rooms. Bar on site would have been great. Great few days away would recommend it.

Unfortunately we never got to use these vouchers as due to the incompetence of the Wowcher system both vouchers were booked with the correct dates but several days later refunded because apparently there was no availability in fact so they were completely missold and two families have been let down and disappointed. Very poor service and will not be using them again.

Cabins small not enough natural light coming into the lodge outside area not big enough to sit outside. And excess road straight outside the front door.

When we arrived at 5.30pm, we was not made aware this would be classed as a late arrival as nothing was sent to us to say what time the reception opening hours were and this was not on the website either, however this is not something we should have to check, there was keys left marked as late arrivals, with a map, and when are arrived in the lodge, there was no how to guide, for example on how to use the television, cooker, microwave, hoe tub etc or who to contact to contact for emergencys so we didn't know anything or where to find anyone as there was never anyone on reception. the lodge that we had, which was lodge Sherwood Sylvan, it states we should have had smart TV, we did not have this, we also had no remote for this, the next day, we had to ask the manger to sort this out and it was replaced and gave us free of charge starter get for the log burner but this because we asked but we still not no smart TV, it also states we should have central heating and there was no central heating and just portable heaters. The double bed sheets were stained, the pillows we stained and also duvet ripped, it's meant be classed as luxury and its certainly is not, we also had no hot water once one person had 5 minute shower, we were told the next we had to wait 40 minutes for the boiler to heat again we waited an hour and half and still we got hot water for a minute or so and then cold water, for 4 days 4 people had to have cold showers completely unacceptable, why advise it sleeps 4 people when 4 people can have showers as would this not be comman practice to have a shower and it be at least warm? The hot tub- we had no idea how to use the buttons and how to turn it on and had to figure this out, so we wasted time on this could not use it properly and not get to use it to its full advantage The seating are and the decking, we was told seating is too big for the area and it will block us walking so if we want down to sit we have to walk on it, again completely unacceptable. We also we to use the indoor pool, we got told we had to book this, we booked it, turned up, to a sigh saying its closed, there was no one there and when we seen someone who worked there, they said thr manager that Booked us in has gone on lunch! Called the number on reception and the number had been turned off!

We stayed in a old lodge which could be doing with a bit of updating not alot to do onsite.

Really wish I could leave a better review, The setting and the experience with the staff was very good, the cabin is really in the woods with great views. Hot tub well located, and fairly private from the neighbour cabins. We stayed two nights, the first night found we had no heating or hot water, which led to a very cold nights sleep unable to shower off the chlorine from the hot tub. The following morning we were told the boiler would be fixed around midday, which meant we had to boil water to wash before leaving for the day. On top of this the cleaning standards of the cabin overall could be improved, we found dog hair around the bathroom floor for an example.
