“We arrived at the hotel about 1pm for a midday check in,the receptionist was very nice & said she had upgraded our room,this was a special treat for my daughter who this week is having a serious operation.We went to our room which was not an upgrade,it was dark & dingy so we asked for another room,which was better.We went to the bar to purchase some drinks to be told they had no ice!! The answer was the only ice machine was broken!! Not very good for a hotel to have no ice.Breakfast the following morning was the worst I have ever had,hot food was cold,no choice of fresh fruit,no Croissants.Very poor.I would nor recommend anyone to stay there . Very disappointed.”

“The small apartment blocks in which we stayed adjacent to the Great Manor House were modern, clean and beautifully designed for a comfortable stay. The Staff were great, greeted us with smiles and were very welcoming. A credit to the Hotel. The Manor House was fantastic, steeped in history and great pieces of Art. It was like stepping back into the 1920`s. The grounds were so very beautiful and the terrace perfect for breakfast, lunch or just a relaxing drink. The Trail around the Manor House Grounds was great for a after lunch or morning walk. Situated 45min from Winchester it was perfect for a day trip to this fantastic historic Cathedral Town capital of the kingdom of Wessex. All in all we had a fantastic time and welcomed writing this review.”

“Was a fantastic building. Food was very good. Shortage of certain things eg rose wine. Jam. Seemed bit overwhelmed by number of guests to staff. Overall though v good value for money”

“Great looking hotel, clean and decent sized room, good shower, nice restaurant and lovely staff. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were well kept, but all a little small, so was a bit of a squeeze when it got busy (we stayed on a saturday). There's nowhere to sit around the pool either, so we opted to leave when it got busy. A lot of the options at dinner you had to pay a supplement for (and it transpired that some of the supplement prices on the menu were incorrect when we received our bill), but my dinner was lovely. My friend had the steak and ended up leaving a lot of it, as it was very tough... so unfortunately they felt it wasn't worth the supplement paid. Breakfast was OK. It was self-serve (including a mediocre coffee machine), which somehow doesn't seem to be in keeping with the feel of the hotel. It was busy at breakfast, and a big queue for the toaster, so we did without toast. Although theres a few things that we feel could have been better, we did enjoy our stay overall, and with the voucher deal, we did feel it was worth the money.”

“I booked this hotel for my 2 daughters and their partners on consecutive weekends. Feedback from my first daughters visit was mixed. Great location, good leisure facilities and bar in main house. There were a few issues with the room and bed. I phoned and spoke to Belle who was super helpful, understanding and ensured that there would be no issues for daughter 2’s visit. She was true to her word ! Furthermore she was very welcoming of the feedback which is a true indicator of good customer service. Thank you Belle!”

“The hotel was really nice and cosy. Staff members very friendly and helpful. However, the food wasn't fresh. My partner and I got really sick on the 2nd day of our stay. Really lively place, unfortunately the food was a let down”
