“Bought this as a Christmas gift for my granddaughter. Thought it would be a nice way to see some sights & Christmas lights .. and who doesn’t like cake?!? Booking was easy with wowcher & golden tours ( options for everyone & all allergens declared) was looking forward to the theming & souvenir cup. We arrived early as requested, had to wait 25 minutes in the freezing cold for the correct bus (several leave at the same time) when seated, there was no cake stand & poor offering. No Taylor Swift theming was evident, although the old routemaster was decked out with flowers & look very quintessentially English & a good backdrop for an afternoon tea. Eventually some music was streamed & we set off, drinks orders were taken (hot & cold). Some time later cold drinks were served ( would have preferred the hot one to warm up). We were all offered a friendship bracelet. Our table had no clotted cream, so asked for some, a long while later I was advised ‘we have run out for today’ Not acceptable in my mind, I had to book therefore they should have prepared! The route took us mainly down back streets .. only real sights passed were Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament (if you looked back on yourself going over the bridge) London eye & Tower Bridge. Windows on the bus steamed up so badly after 20 mins too! Scones were distributed in a basket & wrongly hoped they might have warm. About an hour into to the 90 mins experience, we were being told we were approaching Victoria & the tour would end in around 10 minutes & hadn’t been served a hot drink! When the hot drink arrived it was in a reusable golden tours afternoon tea bus cup (our souvenir) which were told to take with us..just as well as we didn’t have time to drink it on board. My granddaughter enjoyed the trip & salted caramel dip for the mini doughnuts :) but I was very disappointed with the whole experience and am very glad I purchased the wowcher deal & didn’t pay full price for a very average experience.”

“Bus was broken, therefore we need to swap to the afternoon tea and our food was handled by hand for transfer on the other bus (although they did wear gloves but for someone who has OCD it did not look great). Then we have to sit in places that we didn't wanted. Some people preferred refund but I couldn't book for another day due to my schedule and my daughter's one as it was something that my daughter looked forward too and she didn't have lunch as she was expecting her afternoon tea . To be honest it wasn't a nice experience ( she wanted the tea cup for Taylor Swift but and up with the afternoon tea but one. We wanted the experience and the back to back taylor Swift songs we and up with mixed including Christmas songs.”
