“Excellent experience from start to finish! A lovely welcome, beautiful atmosphere and an amazing afternoon tea, a great and varied selection of sandwiches, lovely scones and cake selection. A wide choice of teas or coffee and a cocktail. Definitely would recommend this”

“Very disappointing, quality of afternoon tea poor, sandwiches and cakes average, with small scones. Service was also lacking. Have been to the RHH 3 times previouy, 2 afternoon teas and an evening meal all excellent and service could not have been better. We will not be returning.”

“Not the best ! Was expecting a splendid 5* afternoon tea, instead my sister and I received a very bland offering. The cucumber and soft cheese sandwich was extremely soggy, the scones were rock hard and the cakes were most unappealing and not very tasty. The other sandwiches were ok and the tea/coffee was fine but the service wasn’t great either , there were hardly any customers but we still had to ask for extra tea and not once did we get asked if everything was ok … most disappointing.”

“The place is great, beautiful tea room! Staff are nice and polite. The only let down was the food… scones the size of a mini muffin and the sweet variety were not of a 5 star quality and for the first time I managed to finish everything on an afternoon tea seen the amount of food was not that much. Tasty but I have definitely tasted better. I had a nice time as I said staff was nice and I had good company and made the most of it.”

“A lovely hotel with friendly door man. The resturant stall were friendly and professional. The setting was wonderfully relaxed , bright and airy. The Afternoon selection did not dissapoint, left feeling very full from all the delights on offer.”
