“the main elements were good, the treatment was gorgeous, opted for a back massage, lunch was good- but the pool, despite its quirky fun features, is tired and there are not enough loungers. we were sitting in plastic chairs around the pool and this to me is not luxury- no option to snooze or relax. Bar service was intermittent with the poor bar chap doing three jobs at once and there was no option to order remotely. There is a steam room and sauna but no cold/ice room or similar. Jacuzzi was freezing. Lunch was very good with attentive service throughout. I would have preferred my glass of fizz on arrival rather than with lunch.”

“Arrived for my spa day and was greeted by such a friendly and helpful lady. Well organised day and timing of treatments The massage I had was amazing and totally what I needed. The staff are so friendly and the spa and pool very clean and relaxing. Given robes and towel so no need to take anything, all supplies Will definitely be rebooking”

“Lovely ,relaxing spa day in beautiful surroundings. Treatment very therapeutic but 25 minutes is not long enough. My friend and I both felt that some time was wasted during the day: registration took too long , owing to only 1 person being on the desk and having to deal with lots of bookings and queries. I feel that having to send an email at the desk to confirm the booking details is not appropriate : the reference number/ details should be enough. Also the lunch service , although friendly, was rather slow. This meant that we were served lunch too close to our treatment time which spoiled the experience. In the morning, the pool area was busy and it was difficult to find a lounger. The coffee machine in the pool bar was not working, which was a shame, and by the end of the day ,there was not even hot water available to have a cup of tea. These little things spoiled an otherwise lovely day and they are not really what I've come to expect of the standards of a hotel like Slaley Hall.”
