“So this is a difficult review to make as it worked out lovely and we made the most of it BUT the reason I have given only 3 stars is.. This was a surprise trip for my Sisters 60th so wanted it to be lovely and fun.. The travel company tried to make me pay more for the deal initially, then they did try to change the trip to another destination to fit the price, I was not bothered to much about that as I had no real problem where we went as long as it was likely to be sunny.. Then when after a few days they said they would give it to us for the price paid (very kind ha ha) , So unfortunately you don't find out about the timings until you go to the travel company and then you find out it is technically only one day at the resort.. You arrive after 10pm at night and have to travel to Albufeira.. we loved it as we got an Uber and it was a tesla.. unfortunately on arrival at the hotel the room was very cold, the covers on the bed were stained and the music from the bar was really loud till 2am, the room looked onto a very busy road with very loud motorbikes racing all night, and the people up above us were moving furniture all night and very noisy. So we had no sleep.. The next day when I mentioned this to the receptionist and asked could we change rooms she went from being helpful to very prickly and eventually agreed and we could change to the floor above and over the bar.. We decided this could not be any worse than we had so we would take it. (she said it was the only room available and we would pay the difference, then she immediately took the board away with pricing saying it was not right as the season had now changed and we would have to pay more than was advertised) in the end we paid an upgrade fee which she changed her mind and gave us for the previous fee.. and we moved to the other room. The pool view was was much better, although the bar noise did disturb my sister at night. Unfortunately we had to go to bed at 8pm as we were so exhausted after a busy day and no sleep the night before. We managed to really make the most and enjoy our little trip as we are both positive people.. it could have been a disaster if not.. the staff in the restaurant were lovely and the breakfast was very good which we bought of course. Its about a 20minute walk from the old town and 30mins from the beach .. I do not believe the rooms we were allocated come even close to 4 star not even 2 star, so I feel it is a bit decieving and it is really only one day as you have to leave the hotel by 11am the following day to get to airport, but all in all we enjoyed out little trip.”
