“Accomodation was spacious and all facilities of good quality. Some minor niggles - no information provided for the television, the contriol screen for which kept switching on through the night and lighting up the room, also shower/bath controls so poorly labelled that poor sighted people like me coudn't read them to operate them safely. Car park is a bit of a distance from the room - in winter we have stayed and the night lighting around the apartment blocks is not good.”

“This was the sixth time we've stayed at Thurnham. Staying there is very relaxing, the self catering apartments are spacious and very well equipped, it's quiet and peaceful, an Elizabethan hall surrounded by low modern buildings in the centre of a large estate south of Lancaster. The self catering apartments are spacious and very well equipped. All the apartments and facilities are very good quality, and seem to be regularly refurbished. New bathrooms have been installed on our last visits. The staff are helpful, the grounds are lovely. I've never used the gym, but have swum may times in the pool, which is very good. Watching sheep and hares in the fields beyond and the wonderful sunsets is a treat.”
