“Staff very welcoming at check in which was very straightforward. We were offered a choice of red/white or rose welcome wine, we were taken aback as it was a full size bottle and not a miniature - thank you. Room was lovely, nice and warm. Breakfast was really good with a fab selection, only problem was black pudding had run out When I mentioned it to staff member I was advised more was being cooked. However, by the time we had finished our breakfast, coffee and pastry no pudding available, other guests had arrived and where disappointed no black pudding - obviously everyones favourite treat while in a hotel. All in all tho great stay after our classical concert that evening.”

“It was a shame to discover the hotel is closing as its a beautiful space that desperatley needs a refurb. The leisure space was the reason I chose to stay there but unfortunately very cold, unable to stay. I must say all the staff were beyond excellent, going out of their way to look after until I ordered an ice cream from the bar and it looked like a child served it in a very basic white bowl, not at all appropriate.”
