“Great service and can't fault the staff. Would have been nicer to have been seated in the cocktail lounge instead of just down the side especially as it was a week day and was quiet. Lovely food and drink though.”

“Girl on reception on her phone. Waiter came. Bread didn't seem fresh. Cakes were very poor. For such a lovely location. It was a great let done. I wouldn't book again. It was a thank you gift. I was very let down.”

“Booked for our birthday. Went in and the concierge downstairs was rude and grumpy. When we got upstairs it was clear we were "wowcher customers": our coats weren't taken (we hung them up ourselves) and we were sat in the back room section with kids and other wowcher guests. The server was nice and offered us our drinks and went through the menu. The selection was OK but I didn't eat some of it because...it wasn't that nice, (think warm sweet slop in a cup). The sandwiches were tasty snd Im a sucker for scones and clotted cream! The experience was short lived as we weren't upsold any cocktails or anything else off the menu which was a missed opportunity imo. Also, the mum and daughter next to us were told they couldn't have their afternoon tea because they couldn't cater for a gluten allergy unless told in advance which is very unusual in this day and age and made us feel uncomfortable. 3 stars for the birthday treat and the nice waiter.”
