“For the last 2 years I have gone along to the cake and bake show at Londin Olympia, Hammersmith. I was excited that it was going to be located 1 minutes walk from where grew up and used to love living. This year I was very Disappointed with the cake and bake show. Compared to how it used to be when it was in Docklands Excel centre in east London. Olympia just does not compare at all. None of the stalls that usally love to shop at fir catering purposes were there this year. The only one (PME) that was there, barely had anything. There was not enough seating throughout the whole of the exhibition at all. I am diabled and I would have loved a seat even for just 5 minutes. The food hall was ridiculously packed and when I was trying to buy a cup of tea, there was only one mini van seller that was selling tea along with coffee and I had to queue up for 25mins to be served. For those that wanted coffee, they had to wait up to nearly 1 hr for it. The good thing about it being at Olympia is that you get to rome around in the ideal home show as well. The ticket price is still not bad if bought on wowcher or Groupon. Also being at Olympia they are not giving out the lovely goody bags that you pay £5 for like I am used to at the Excel centre. Alot has changed since it has moved to Olympia and tbh I am not sure if I will be going back to the cake and bake show next year 2025 if it will be at Olympia. It's just not the same!! Alot needs to be improved if it is to stay at the Olympia site of I am going to continue to attend. It is the one event I looked forward to yearly. A big shame really but I am glad to see more home based cake makers selling they're goods at the show.”
