“I love Greenwoods, it's on my doorstep so very lucky to have a treat a couple of times a year to take a chill day off. There is a small gym you can use, or simply sit in your fluffy robe having a cuppa in the lounge, relax in the pool area with sauna, steam room and hot tub. There is a special relaxation room or you can indulge in a massage or treatment. I normally arrive a crumpled mess and leave feeling nicely de-stressed. There is a good choice of food on the menu for lunch with a well stocked bar if wanted so don't book a heavy massage straight after, and if you do still have room I can recommend the afternoon teas here. The original building is Georgian and has a lot of local history with a beautiful oak-panelled lounge and bar, set in well kept gardens, and the newer building is tastefully decorated with a grand entrance. I have been to Greenwoods a couple of times every year for what must be over 15 years, for the day spa, to the restaurant and even stayed overnight once in the master suite. I was so happy to see a Wowcher deal for here I couldn't miss out, so I am all booked in for a birthday treat next week....I can feel my muscles relaxing already”

“Lunch was very good. Spa was a massive dissapointment. there were around 20 loungers around the main pool. There didnt seem to be that amount of people, but all beds had towels/belongings on them, so we didnt get two beds next to each other all day. one sauna not working. the steam room fitted about 6 people without being squashed/awkward. the jacuzzi the same. the relaxation rooms were not relaxing with only 4 loungers in one ( with 2 lads talking on phones ), the tiniest sauna which realistically fitted 2/3 people and was over heated ( gauge on red) and steam room which smelled mouldy/musty. The other relaxation room had just 3 hot stone beds....couldnt get on them. We literally spent 20 minutes in the jacuzzi, 5 minutes in the steam room and had a massage each and lunch, out of 5 hours there. Would not return to spa. Shame as it was a Birthday present for my daughter.”
