“**Trafford Hall Hotel, Stretford, Manchester – A Disappointing Anniversary Stay** We recently stayed at the Trafford Hall Hotel in Stretford, Manchester, for two nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Sadly, our experience was far from what we had hoped for. Upon arrival, it was clear where the reception desk was located, which was a positive start. Prior to our arrival, we had called ahead to request an upgraded room to mark our special occasion. However, we were assigned a room in the basement that had a noticeable damp smell. The first night was particularly troubling. I woke up to use the toilet and discovered a slug climbing up the shower door. Alarmed, I inspected the room further and found slug trails on the carpet, stretching from the window to under the bed. Disturbed, I immediately called the reception desk. The staff member who came to our room attempted to convince me that the trails were part of the carpet design, which was insulting and unacceptable. After some insistence, we were moved to a room on the second floor the following morning. The new room was not much better. It was smaller and noticeably dusty. The radiator behind the curtain was covered in thick dust, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. The food and beverages were also disappointing. The breakfast was served cold, the dinner was mediocre at best, and the drinks were overpriced. Charging £3.50 for a lemonade is excessive and unjustifiable. Overall, our stay at Trafford Hall Hotel was highly disappointing. It felt like a complete waste of time and money, especially given that it was meant to be a special celebration for our anniversary. We would not recommend this hotel based on our experience.”

“I never got to experience my stay as hotel could not honour the dates even though I redeemed the wowcher and it was confirmed originally. I am now having major difficulty getting this refunded as now neither wowcher or hotel taking responsibility for the refund, been waiting more than 10 days now !!”
