“We had a lovely time From the car park it looks quite dreary, but once inside it was beautiful. I real wow a moment. The room was spacious, a huge comfy bed Very clean bathroom. Breakfast was very good, the chef constantly bringing out freshly cooked food. Poached eggs to order, also lovely. Kings Lynn was a lovely town to look around full of historical finds. We very much enjoyed this mini vacations, and we will definitely return.”

“Very disappointing… room was right next to the lift which kept us awake til 4am!! As it was in constant use and then started again at 5.45am. Room clean and tidy although dated … view over alley where all the drunks go down. The hair dryer is fixed to the wall in the bathroom and as no extractor in bathroom It completely steams up so you can’t see to do your hair. Or if someone else wants to use the bathroom you also can’t dry your hair!? No toilet brush?No usable plug sockets by the bed as they were old fashioned round pin sockets for lamps…so couldn’t charge phone. Breakfast was a disgrace we went down on a Sunday at 8.45am there were no sausages left bacon had dried out and wasn’t hot the hash browns were a disgusting mush at bottom of dish, all eggs hard and conjealed and the mushrooms look old and shrivelled before they were even cooked. I’d left my phone in the room or I would’ve taken some pictures. Gordon Ramsey would’ve had a field day. I would’ve asked for fresh ingredients but there were no staff in the dining room …we normally stay at The Globe but as we were celebrating my husband’s 60th birthday as a special treat I decided to stay at Dukes Head… how wrong could I have been. I really didn’t want to spoil his birthday by making a fuss so didn’t feel I could say anything at the desk before we left. I’m so sorry to have to report this as the staff on the desk were good.”
