GENERAL COMMENTS: Sturdy, good quality, practical, extendable outdoor dining table -- the sliding mechanism works well. BUT(!!): The table was delivered with TWO FLAWS (caused at the manufacturing/assembly stage at the factory, NOT during transport). The table arrived WELL packaged in a very sturdy cardboard box, with adequate padding to protect the glass top panes and aluminium frame. Very fast delivery through Yodel, too! FLAW ONE: One side of one of the table legs was DENTED IN at one end of the leg (the end where the 'plastic end cap' needs to be fitted), please see photos - I needed to use a hammer to "correct" this as best as possible in order to be able to fit the 'end cap' onto the leg. Please note that the 'plastic end caps' are fairly difficult to fit onto/into the bottom end of the table legs (very tight fit!!).... I had to use a hammer to do this, too, by carefully "tapping" around/along the edges/corners of the cap to "drive the cap in", bit by bit (it would have been impossible to do without a hammer). FLAW TWO: The glass panes are held up (in place) by 'wedge-shaped' plastic pieces which are fitted into the frame from underneath - one at each side of every corner (8 in total). The 'wedge-shaped' plastic pieces are pushed over a sort of 'lip' (where the metal is folded upwards) at the underside of the frame. When unpacking the table, ONE of these 'wedge-shaped' plastic pieces FELL OUT of the bubble wrap. I checked underneath both glass panes to find that one of the pieces holding the pane in place was missing, at one corner (hence the one that had fallen out of the bubble wrap). As a result, there was a gap at the top of the glass pane, also making it possible for the pane to be pushed down further (using one's finger) -- the glass pane was not securely held in place, at that corner. As I could NOT see myself taking the whole table apart again in order to wrap it up and package it, and to then start a (probably lengthy) returns process, I attempted to fit the 'wedge-shaped' plastic piece myself, but getting the piece over the 'metal lip' was VERY VERY DIFFICULT and required A LOT OF FORCE (using a wide screwdriver and hammer)! Plus, I am not totally sure whether the piece is truly sitting 100% in place. I am assuming that a special tool or machinery is used at the manufacturing stage to fit these 'wedge-shaped' plastic pieces into the frame (over the metal lip). Due to the above, the assembly of the table was a slightly exasperating experience,..... and only time will tell whether the table will last, OR whether the 'wedge-shaped' plastic piece (the 'missing' one that I fitted myself) is going to "fall out" -- due to the fact that I might not have been able to push it in perfectly and securely.
