“Really lovely stay for my birthday. Excellent position in Alnwick, very central but private. Very old traditional building, would love to know its history. Must have a story to tell being so close to Alnwick Castle. Very well equipped and such comfy beds. Will definitely be back.”

“Very well situated. The upstairs was lovely whilst the downstairs could definitely do with a refurb. New furniture is definitely needed. The sofas were very uncomfortable , low and well worn. The dining chairs were all coming apart. However there was everything we needed for a 3 nighy family break. No Prosecco however !”

“Brilliant stay, lots to do in the area. Everything on our doorstep. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Lovely that the hot tub was ready to use as soon as we arrived. All the rooms were a great size and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and younger child. We would come back.”

“Fantastic location and great provisions hamper to welcome us and the house was warm and well appointed. However, the cottage needs some work as the downstairs is very dated & tired looking. The shower was terrible, couldn’t get the water to stick to one temp so either freezing or scalding to the point were we didn’t bother trying on the last day. Lots of noise throughout the night, we think it was the heating system but we didn’t get to the bottom of it. All hotel staff lovely apart from one guy who aggressively told our party (3 middle aged women) to get out of the hot tub as it had gone 11pm. There were no signs or instructions on hot tub time limits so we weren’t aware of this rule. If the cottage was updated to a good standard we would definitely return as the location is amazing.”
