“We were disappointed with the afternoon tea as we were expecting a much higher standard. I was expecting more sandwiches and maybe smoked salmon instead of tinned tuna and cheese. Apart from a welsh cake and scone the piece of chocolate cake was dry and it would have been nice to have some different pastries. I’m so glad I never paid full price. Could have been so much better.”

“The Welsh House Cardiff was a smart location in the centre of Cardiff very near the Castle. The staff couldnt find my reservation even though i had emailed confirmation of it so was sat waiting for 5 minutes. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and we enjoyed the tea and bubbly.”

“Lovely food, would have preferred more savoury with less cakes but that is a personal choice of course, it all was nicely presented, looked and tasted fresh. Music was quite loud and not particularly Welsh. The staff were very pleasant but could been more attentive. All in all a good experience, but importantly the food looked and tasted fresh . Would certainly recommend.”
