“I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Wowcher. I purchased a heated hoodie that was advertised as USB‑powered with up to 10 hours of heat. The listing even stated that you should “detach the power supply before washing,” which clearly implies a power bank is included. When the item arrived, there was no power bank, and nowhere in the listing did it say one wasn’t included. This means the product was not as described. I contacted the merchant, who repeatedly sent generic, unhelpful responses and refused to acknowledge the misleading listing. They insisted I pay return postage, even though the issue was caused by their inaccurate description. At one point they offered 10% compensation, then backtracked and repeated the same template messages again. I contacted Wowcher for help, but instead of stepping in, they simply pushed me back to the merchant — despite the merchant clearly refusing to deal with the complaint properly. Overall, this experience has shown me that: - Wowcher does not verify the accuracy of product listings - If something goes wrong, Wowcher offers no real support - You are left dealing with unresponsive merchants who ignore consumer law - Misleading listings seem to go unchecked I would strongly advise others to be cautious when buying from Wowcher. If the product isn’t as described, you may find yourself stuck in a loop between Wowcher and the merchant with no proper resolution.”
