“A bit fiddly to put together, but well built. However there is a known issue with it that I encountered the first time I used it, of defective burners that need a replacement (it’s still safe to use though apparently) which they’ll either send you to replace yourself or you can wait for someone to do this for you, which I’ve opted for, however, Weber have said this may take quite a wait which is very disappointing.
As it’s a known issue, I’m very disappointed that Weber haven’t recalled these already and defective products are being sold. I don’t want to be held responsible if I change this part and it makes the device unsafe or unusable and potentially renders the warranty invalid, so I have asked Weber to send me an agent to fix it. Despite what they say that it is safe, it still makes me uncomfortable to use it again until it’s repaired.
I will say though that the only time I’ve used it so far it has done a great job - food cooked really well, large BBQing area and the really useful GBS system make it a brilliant multipurpose BBQ that I’m really looking forward to testing fully once repaired.”
