“This was the second weber I bought after my first Weber smokey mountain. Coming from Zimbabwe and being brought up on a farm we were always using an old half drum with a grate thrown over it - burning good solid firewood. Forward 45 years and were now in the UK - where I did not have this available. So I bought one of these and fitted it to my Stainless steel table alongside my WSM. I never fitted the legs but got a clip on ash-pan for it and plonked it in the table. Its a beautiful BBQ and as generally theres just two of us I use this all the time. However I do have a few more now to play around with.
This kettle is so cheap to run and I have done loads of roasts, chickens, steaks and whatever we are eating. I BBQ at least 3 times a week - Yes it does rain but I have a beach umbrella slotted in the table. Lovely unit and its actually what made me fall in love with weber BBQ's - as well as the WSM I got first. My weber family started to grow.
As per all webers I own they are all great. I dedicate this one mainly to using with my rotisserie - strong and robust as ever. Easy to control temps and use. The one touch ash cleaning system is great. I have added a castor wheel onto the fromt leg and its now easy peasy to move around.”
