“I ordered several items, spending just under £200.00.
I cannot fault the speed of delivery, placing the order late on Tuesday and receiving it on the Thursday.
I received an email confirming the order and another email the next working day, advising that it had been shipped. Although an APC consignment number was given, this did not work, generating a message advising that it was not recognised. I assumed this was because I had looked too early but it did not work the next day and still does not work.
My excitement at receiving some shiny new tools soon dissipated when I saw the box containing said items. It was battered and torn and had several holes in it. On opening the package, the tools looked as if they had been thrown in. A piece of bubble wrap paid lip service to its intended use, merely covering some of the items. The tools themselves were rattling around unprotected. One was in a separate Wolf Garten box which was also damaged in several places. The quality of packing was extremely shoddy and would stop me ordering from this company again, which is a shame because in other respects the service was good. The amateurish packing was perhaps acceptable ten years ago but not in this day and age of online shopping.
Fortunately the tools themselves are ok as far as I can tell, which is testament to their quality rather than the quality of packing.”
Hi Tracey,
We were very disappointed to read your review, especially as you stated that the goods arrived so quickly and were undamaged.
I thank you however for your packaging feedback which has been relayed to our warehouse team. Unlike some of the bigger online retailers we are mindful of our environmental impact and strive to use as little packaging as possible (whilst still ensuring goods arrive in perfect condition).
Rest assured that should it have transpired that our packaging did not suffice and that damage occured in transit - we would have replaced these items for you. I'm sure your fabulous new tools will serve you well.
All the best,
Lee @ World of Wolf
“As a jobbing gardener I buy all my tools from wolf. These scissors are good quality and perfect for jobs that don’t need secateurs. Their distinct red hand,es mean they are easier to spot if dropped or left in a flower bed.”
