“I have had a number of hand held spreaders all of which either got stuck, both winder and opener, or broke,usually the agitator and winding mechanism. The Gardena device is streets ahead in design,funtionality and ease of use. It really will handle a wide range of sizes and materials. I canot speak for its longevity as I've only had it a few weeks but the design and materials suggest it will function properly for a good period of time.”
