“This is a nice little model but you should remember that it is intended as a game piece. In reality it is half way between a game piece and display model. Some parts are very delicate for a game piece and it is not quite detailed enough for display. In this scale you would not be able to see panel lines and indeed there are none on the model; including ailerons on the main wings. Also missing are the air-brakes from under the wings. There are four sprues, two in grey, a clear one for the glazed cockpit and a stand in black. In common with other small scale kits from Zvezda the only painting reference is the box artwork. An undercarriage is included but no separate undercarriage doors, they are modelled shut with holes for the undercarriage to plug into. Decals are included but these are too big and they actually show their scale to be 1/144 on the decal sheet. Perhaps the original intent was for the aeroplane to be 1/144 scale but that would not fit the standard box size. The lettering on the fuselage should be 3.5 to 4 mm high depending upon the original lettering used. The artwork shows different unit letters and a unit badge, something which is not on the decal sheet. I would buy a few more if I can buy or make decals for them as given the small size (7cm x 11cm) the lack of some detail can be forgiven.”
