The Trumpeter German Railway Gondola Low Sided in 1/35 scale from the plastic tank model range accurately recreates the real life German railway wagon that would have been used during World War II. This plastic tank kit requires paint and glue to complete. The Deutche Reichsbahn was pushed into service when the German Army began to move mass amounts of troops and machinery. The Light Cargo Wagon (Leichter Feldbahnwagen) was used to carry anything and everything. Half tracks, soft skin vehicles and light armour such as the Marder III were seen on these cars. They were used throughout the span of the war. These cars were often sand bagged and used with AA units for air defence.
